Works-For-Me Wendesday

Our family loves Apples to Apples! As far as toys, we've always leaned toward learning games for gifts, like knex, board games, or books. But by far, this game is a sure-fire winner with friends and family as well. We've found that ages 10-79 love this game. It's so fun to see the crazy choices that come up with each round. We have the party and Bible edition as well, but the original Party box is our favorite. We've laughed so hard we've cried! This is a wonderful game that teaches about nouns and adjectives, while mixing history without really trying! our 15 yr. old took it to school last year for the last week of school. The English kept it for a week and all the kids were begging to play it by the middle of the week! You can get it at Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
Apples to Apples is a game of hilarious comparisons. This wild, award-winning card and party game provides instant fun - it's as easy as comparing apples to apples. Deal the cards, then select the card from your hand that you think is best described by a card played by the judge. If the judge picks your card, you win that round. Each round is filled with surprising and outrageous comparisons from a wide range of people, places, things and events - and everyone gets a chance to be the judge. The Party Box comes complete with over 1,000 cards.

No, we don't go to Central Christian, although half of Wichita does!! =) BTW, we moved here from Springdale, Arkansas, and attended First Baptist Springdale.

Apples to Apples is great! It's a family favorite around here too. We also like the game Whonu (not sure of the funky spelling- sounds like Who Knew), made by Cranium. (:
