Answers to prayers.

I have been so blessed by friends. Yesterday, I spent the day listening to Youngest and "P" his best friend play.  They did everything from legos, swimming, PS2, watching the A-Team, and just being boys.  Though I'll never figure out how in the world they hit a baseball and it bounced into an incredibly small drainage pipe... Oh well!  Later that evening, as I sat talking with my dear friend Eva, "P's" mom, I realized I didn't get to do that much, but just the short time we had was a blessing. She challenged me to tell you about how God has ,strike>blessed provided mightily for us this week, so here it is!

When we moved into this house, it had a stove and while I wasn't thrilled with it, it did work.  Over the past 16 years, it has slowly been dying and this week I kicked  that 30 yr. old stove waved it goodbye!
  • No more will I have to use a pair of pliers to turn on or off the burners!
  • No more will I use matches or lighter to light the burners!
  • No longer will I have to turn on and off the oven 5-6 times before it will light.
  • No more will I try to calculate how many degrees higher it will decide to bake (somewhere between 150º-200º) when baking or having to throw something out because it changed temps while baking.
Our family loves to have people over for homemade pizza and some of those families have taken note of our wonderful stove.  This week we were GIVEN two (YES!!!) stoves FREE!!!!!  Yes, I was doing the Snoopy Dance!!!  The first stove arrived on Monday and is a really fancy nice electric drop in range.  We were thrilled with this, but knew it may be a while before we get it installed because we have gas (okay, we use gas instead of electric for our oven). But later that SAME day, a different friend called and said she had a 9-yr. old gas stove...  It was blessing in disguise, because Honey discovered our old gas line had a leak in it.  So after installing a new gas line and shut-off valve - here it is!  I've not actually cooked on it yet, but the family is hinting at pizza!

I think most of you know that we homeschool two of our kids.  I try get as many of our books used as possible to cut down on expenses, because it can be quite costly.  Yesterday at church, I was talking to The Princess' momma, and her sister (also a school teacher) approached me.
She happened to have some 7th grade curriculum she had used and was wanting to get it out of her house.  I have to tell you that for the last few weeks, I've been searching places that have the specific math, science, and more on sale... Guess what???

More Snoopy Dancing because included in this wonderful stack of curriculum is EXACTLY what I was looking for in math, science, and literature!!!  Is that a God thing or what!!!  I love it what He does this!
"If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.: Matthew 6:30 (The Message)
post signature"Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy." Acts 14:16-18

What has God done for you this last week?  Is there anything you can tell me about how you've been provided for?  I'd love to hear all about it!

That is AMAZING!! I was blessed this past week to be able to get through all I needed to do. Hubby was able to do a business trip in one day, instead of 2 or 3. Thank goodness for blessings!

Lynnet ~ so grateful for God's provision of just what your family needed. Yeah, God. Yeah, you.

Thanks for adding my blog Gg - Notes on the Journey to your blog list. How sweet.

Our girls are grown now, but we loved homeschooling. Those books can get expensive.

God is so good, isn't He? I have to say too that I am a tad bit jealous that you have a gas stove top. Oh how I want one!

Great curriculum too. I am already planning our next school year. That is the best part for me!
