From the heart of Holley

Have you ever read Heart to Heart with HolleyShe is the cofounder of (in)courage, writer for DaySpring, author, counselor, plus she likes chocolate Each day she writes from the heart, encouraging those who stop by,  and (most of the time) I think she must have a web-cam in my house or even in my heart.  This morning when I read her post I knew she was speaking right to me.  I could relate to it so much that I wanted to share what she wrote with you and maybe, just maybe, she wrote it with you in mind as well

It really can be a good week

Shoes photo by Nina Matthews photography (flickr creative commons) A new week is beginning, full of possibilities.
Can it be a good one?
My mind races ahead to all there is to do, everything that might happen.
Worry nips at my heels.
But then I remember...
There is One who has already gone before me.
It's His footsteps I can follow.
And what is the way He has for me?
Mercy.
Love.
Grace.
JOY.
He takes my heart by the hand and whispers, "Come on, Daughter, it's going to be a good week."
And I know He doesn't mean the kind of "good" that's getting what I want and life being easy. Oh, it's much deeper, wilder, beyond my understanding than that. This "good" is about His love, eternity, who He is no matter what. It's even more solid and certain than the ground beneath my feet.
Yes, I believe it's going to be a good week after all.
And I'm finally ready to step into the day.

Are you with me?
You have made known to me the path of life; You fill me with joy in Your presence. Psalm 16:11

I love it when God uses different sources to encourage us, right when we need it. Hope your week is great.

Fondly,
Glenda

Darling pink shoes in the green. ;-)

I appreciate your comment on my Thousand Gifts review. I love the words in this post of yours that "There is One who has already gone before me."
