$100 SavingsCoupon Book and expired coupons

I was pretty excited when ran across an ad for Proctor and Gamble Coupon book worth $100 at www.thankyoumom.com, a division of P&G.
Receive over $100 worth of P&G coupon savings by mail when you buy $50 worth of P&G products. Enjoy savings on the brands you trust to give your family what they need — our thanks to you for everything you do.
Now when I thought about it, I was sure I had purchased that many P&G products, but I pulled out the last few months receipts... Guess what?  I got pretty close with only $3 shy. With the coupons we got today and the things we need, we'll have no problem making that up.  Sad, I know, but I'm excited about the reward!

Now I have to tell you that I wasn't aware of the P&G offer until today, so this wasn't something I was actually planning for.  I regularly save my receipts for a few months in case I need to return something, compare some prices I've not recorded in Grocery Gadget, or just because they piled up in my shredder.

Here's what you need to do.
  1. Drag out your receipts dated between February 1 and April 15, 2010 that have any P&G product on it.  If you've not been saving them, there is still some time.
  2. Circle the P&G products and their corresponding prices on your original cash register receipt(s). If you're not sure, you can go here see what you're looking for.  This will save you time searching through your cabinets and reading the tiny label wording/symbols.
  3. Print out their Mail-In Form found here, address your stamped envelope and mail it in.
How to help military families:
If you're like us, we try to pass our coupons on to others we know. Let's face it, there's no way we use every single coupon we come across.  I came across a program, called OCP (Overseas Coupon Program) founded in 1992, that allows us to send those current and expired coupons (no more than 2 months past expiration) to a military base overseas..... How is this possible?  This is what they have to say.
Our program serves military families by assisting you to forward "manufacturer's coupons" to overseas military bases.  These bundles of coupons are placed on tables, at the PX and Commissary, or handed out for use by military members and families on base.  This helps the family save valuable dollars and stretch their budget.
This is not a tax deductable program, but simply a way to help our military. They have an "adoption page" that shows you which bases need to be sent coupons, how to send them, where to send them, and  .  Last year they had a total of $2,073,947.68 worth of coupons donated!  Isn't that cool?  What a great way to help our military families who serve protecting the U.S.
